Terezian
Another light we are happy to introduce as a part of our new collection 2013 is the NEW TEREZIAN. This time, designers Sara Geby and Filip Houdek reach out for inspiration even further into the history, to the mid 18 th century. At that time, a new type of chandelier was introduced. Its innovation lay in the fact that it did not have the central supporting column and the construction consisted of arms in a shape of lyre, the final shape resembling “a pear”. These chandeliers were introduced for the first time during the coronation of Maria Theresa in Prague in 1743, and so from this monarch they take their name. Our designer duo refreshes this eighteen century design in their NEW TEREZIAN and introduces another unique light in a traditional yet very innovative and modern form.
